Speech in Context at the Service of Development: Discourse, Sciences, Endogenous Knowledge, and Societies
This inaugural issue of the Biira Multidisciplinary Journal offers an in-depth reflection on speech conceived as a central vector for the production, mediation, and circulation of knowledge. In a context shaped by the globalization of knowledge, digital transformations, the challenges of sustainable development, and scientific and technological innovation, speech emerges as a privileged object of analysis for understanding contemporary social dynamics.
Scientific discourse contributes to the construction, legitimation, and social appropriation of knowledge. It shapes social relations, identities, collective imaginaries, and development trajectories. This first issue invites researchers to analyze the interactions between discourse, the exact and applied sciences, endogenous knowledge, and societies, with particular emphasis on practices of scientific communication, knowledge popularization, ethical issues, and the sociocultural conditions of knowledge production and dissemination. Scientific speech is understood here as a space for the construction of scholarly knowledge, lay knowledge, and endogenous knowledge.
